First there was one; then there were two; and now we are expanding into a third facility. The talk of the town has been the relocation of the Archives to the new "Edgar Dunning Archives Facility". With this exciting move comes the question - what will happen to the 1912 historical building that has been home to the Delta Museum & Archives since 1969?

We will continue to display and share Delta's history through our permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational school programs, and a variety of fun public programs for children and adults at the beautiful Tudor-style building located in the heart of Ladner Village. But to achieve this initiative we must reconfigure some of the existing space into functional program or display areas and workable storage areas.

We invite you to join us for a day of golf and fun at the Delta Museum and Archives' 10th Annual Delta Heritage Golf Classic on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Tsawwassen Golf and Country Club. All monies raised through this event will be earmarked for the Museum Improvement Project and will help offset some of the cost that will be incurred to successfully reconfigure our current facility into an efficient and effective space for sharing Delta's rich history stories with all residents and visitors.

Many families have deep roots in Delta and have played an important role in Delta's history. We would like to use our Annual Delta Heritage Golf Classic to recognize them and this year we will recognize the Brandrith-Bates family, whose family farm is now the Tsawwassen Golf and Country Club.

Don't have time to golf this year? Every little bit makes the day a success and helps us preserve Delta's rich history for future generations. There are many ways that you can be involved and still support our efforts:
