4927 Elliot Street, Ladner, BC
Nestled in the heart of Ladner stands one of South Delta’s most charming children’s stores called FINDS. FINDS Children's Thrift Store is a specialty thrift store that is in the business of offering low-priced and previously-loved children’s clothes, toys, and equipment. While the store has only been open for just over two years, it has changed the lives of many children with special needs as all proceeds are donated to the not-for-profit Reach Child and Youth Development Society that provides programs and services for local children and their families. Step into this wonderful little boutique and discover the many hidden treasures that await you.
While FINDS specializes in selling second-hand items, it is not a typical thrift store. As facebook user Cathy Nidoski put it, “Great stuff! Great People! Great cause!” The store has excellent deals on gently-loved quality name brand products with a wide variety of items to choose from. From Osh Kosh to Gap Kids, you will be delighted to find such quality products at such a discounted price. Hate that thrift-store smell? Each quality item at FINDS is exceptionally clean and cared for. The shop is spotless and well-organized so that it is easy for customers to find exactly what it is they are looking for. Whether you’re searching for toys, children’s clothing, maternity-wear, or anything else in between, FINDS is a second-hand shop with a first-hand feel to it.
Part of what makes this store a treasure in its own right, is that FINDS is run exclusively by passionate volunteers. These exceptional people are dedicated to helping children and volunteer their time and energy in order to ensure a brighter future for our local kids. Beyond their kindness and dedication, FINDS' Staff are the experts on children. They know that all equipment is safe and in working order, and will assist customers with any of their shopping needs.
Store Manager, Marcia McCafferty (pictured far left), is one of these exceptional volunteers. A long time resident of Ladner, Marcia has been volunteering with Reach Child and Youth Development Society for many years and is passionate about supporting children and youth with special needs and their families. While she maintains her role as a board member, you can find her volunteering her time over at FINDS.
